Notice is hereby given that by virtue of SEIZURE AND SALE issued out of the above entitled and numbered cause,and to me directed Thomas S. Romero Sheriff, duly sworn and qualified in and for the Parish of Iberia, La., have seized, and will offer for sale and will sell at public auction, for cash WITHOUT appraisal, to the last and highest bidder, at the Court House, in the City of New Iberia, La., between legal sale hours starting at 10 a.m. on
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 25, 2026
The following described property, to wit:
TRACT OF LAND LABELED “BETTY MARGARET PETITFILS BUTEAU” as shown by reference to that certain plat of survey prepared by G.K. Pratt Munson, C.E. dated June 27,1962 and recorded attached to Act of Cash Sale at COB 416, Folio 460, Entry No. 123471, of the public records of Iberia Parish, Louisiana;
Being that certain lot of ground, with all buildings and improvements and the component parts thereof, together with all rights, ways, privileges and servitudes thereunto appertaining, and all appurtenances thereof, situated in Iberia Parish, Louisiana, within the corporate limits of the City of Jeanerette, fronting 90 feet on the North side of La Hwy 182 (West Main Street) by a depth between equal and parallel lines of 200 feet; being bounded Northerly, Easterly and Westerly by Nelson C Boudreaux, Jr. heirs or assigns and Southerly by Main Street; subject to restrictions, servitudes, rights-of-way and outstanding mineral rights of record affecting the property.
To pay and satisfy the sum of:
SEVENTY-TWO THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED TWENTY-ONE DOLLARS AND 82/100 ($72,321.82) with interest thereon at 4.50000% per annum from May 01,2025, until paid; all expenses incurred in enforcing the note and mortgage including reasonable attorney’s fees. And all costs of these proceedings.
ALL SUCCESSFUL BIDDERS MUST HAVE CASH (CASH PAYMENT IN THE FORM OF A CASHIER’S CHECK), CASHIER’S CHECK OR A VERIFIABLE LETTER OF CREDIT IN FAVOR OF SAID BIDDER FROM A SOLVENT BANK, SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION OR OTHER SUCH FINANCIAL INSTITUTION AUTHORIZED TO DO BUSINESS IN THE STATE OF LOUISIANA AND FULL PAYMENT MUST BE MADE ON DATE OF SALE.
