Notice is hereby given that by virtue of SEIZURE AND SALE issued out of the above entitled and numbered cause,and to me directed Thomas S. Romero Sheriff, duly sworn and qualified in and for the Parish of Iberia, La., have seized, and will offer for sale and will sell at public auction, for cash WITHOUT appraisal, to the last and highest bidder, at the Court House, in the City of New Iberia, La., between legal sale hours starting at 10 a.m. on
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 8, 2026
The following described property, to wit:
Being that certain lot of ground with all buildings and improvements and the component parts thereof, together with all
rights, ways, privileges and servitudes thereunto appertaining, and all appurtenances thereof situated in Section 38,Township 12 South, Range 6 East, Iberia Parish, Louisiana, within the corporate limits of the City of New Iberia, being known and designated as Lot C, as shown by reference to that certain plat titled “A plat of survey showing re-subdivision of a portion of Lot 5, all of Lot 6, 7, 8, 9,10, & 11, Block 1, Bergerie Subdivision into Lots A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, & I (A residential development)”, prepared by L. J. Comeaux, Jr., filed for record May 24, 2006 at COB 1333, folio 574, entry no. 2006-5863 of the public records of Iberia Parish, Louisiana; being further described as fronting 60 feet on the north side of Bergerie Street by a depth between equal and parallel lines of 106.0 feet; being bounded northerly by Lemaire, heirs or assigns, southerly by Bergerie Street, easterly by Lot D of noted plat, and westerly by Lot B of noted plat.
To pay and satisfy the sum of:
ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-NINE THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED SIXTY-TWO DOLLARS AND 02/100($129,762.02) Interest from June 1,2024, until paid, at 625% per annum. Reasonable attorney’s fees in an uncontested foreclosure, and all costs of these proceedings.
ALL SUCCESSFUL BIDDERS MUST HAVE CASH (CASH PAYMENT IN THE FORM OF A CASHIER’S CHECK), CASHIER’S CHECK OR A VERIFIABLE LETTER OF CREDIT IN FAVOR OF SAID BIDDER FROM A SOLVENT BANK, SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION OR OTHER SUCH FINANCIAL INSTITUTION AUTHORIZED TO DO BUSINESS IN THE STATE OF LOUISIANA AND FULL PAYMENT MUST BE MADE ON DATE OF SALE.
