Notice is hereby given that by virtue of SEIZURE AND SALE issued out of the above entitled and numbered cause, and to me directed Thomas S. Romero Sheriff, duly sworn and qualified in and for the Parish of Iberia, La., have seized, and will offer for sale and will sell at public auction, for cash WITHOUT appraisal, to the last and highest bidder, at the front door of the Court House, in the City of New Iberia, La., between legal sale hours starting at 10 a.m. on
WEDNESDAY, MAY 20, 2026
The following described property, to wit:
Lot 18 and West 1/2 of Lot 19 of Acadian Place Subdivision Phase 2, as shown on a plat of survey by Brian R. Marie, Registered Land Surveyor, dated April 15,1988 and filed for record in Miscellaneous Book 16, at Folio 5, under Entry No. 6880 of the public records of Iberia Parish, Louisiana;
Being that certain lot of ground with all buildings and improvements and the component parts thereof, together with all rights, ways, privileges and servitudes thereunto appertaining, and all appurtenances thereof situated in Section 1, Township 12 South, Range 6 East, Iberia Parish, Louisiana, within the corporate limits of the City of New Iberia, fronting 75 feet on the North side of Santa Clara Street Extension, by a depth between equal and parallel lines of 125 feet; being bounded Northerly by property of Downhole Pipe & Supply, Inc., heirs or assigns, Southerly by Santa Clara Street Extension, Easterly by the East 1/2 of Lot 19 of Acadian Place Subdivision Phase 2, and Westerly by Lot 17 of Acadian Place Subdivision Phase 2.
To pay and satisfy the sum of:
ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-EIGHT THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED NINE DOLLARS AND 04/100 ($158,209.04) in principal, with interest thereon at 2.750% per annum from August 1, 2024, until paid in full, reasonable attorney fees. And all costs of these proceedings.
ALL SUCCESSFUL BIDDERS MUST HAVE CASH (CASH PAYMENT IN THE FORM OF A CASHIER’S CHECK), CASHIER’S CHECK OR A VERIFIABLE LETTER OF CREDIT IN FAVOR OF SAID BIDDER FROM A SOLVENT BANK, SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION OR OTHER SUCH FINANCIAL INSTITUTION AUTHORIZED TO DO BUSINESS IN THE STATE OF LOUISIANA AND FULL PAYMENT MUST BE MADE ON DATE OF SALE.
