OFFICIAL ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed bids will be received by Iberia Medical Center, until 2:00 P.M (Central Time) on Thursday, May 28, 2026, in the Board Room at 2315 East Main Street, New Iberia, LA at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates. The form of this security shall be as stated in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Documents for this project.
Any proposal received after the above mentioned time and date will be returned unopened.
Bids shall be on a lump-sum basis and include a base bid as described on the Bid Form. Two (2) copies of the proposal must be submitted in the bid package and completed on the blank forms furnished in the Project Manual, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
The successful Bidder will be required to enter into a contract with the above Owner and to furnish all the materials, perform all of the work, supervise, coordinate, administrate and be responsible for the work. The successful Bidder must register with the Iberia Parish Sales and Use Tax Department for use Tax purpose and shall include all applicable state and local taxes in the bid amount.
Liquidated damages on the project shall be $500.00/day.
Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2163 for the classification of BUILDING CONSTRUCTION. Bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S.38:2212 (A)(1)(c). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA. R.S. 38:2214.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with La. R.S. 38:2212 (A) (1)(b), the provisions and requirements of this Section, those stated in the advertisement bids, and those required on the bid form shall not be considered as informalities and shall not be waived by any public entity.
A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on (Date to be determined), located at 600 North Lewis Street, New Iberia, Louisiana.
The construction contract for this project will be awarded or proposals rejected within sixty (60) days following the date of the opening of proposals.
