Notice is hereby given that by virtue of SEIZURE AND SALE issued out of the above entitled and numbered cause, and to me directed Thomas S. Romero Sheriff, duly sworn and qualified in and for the Parish of Iberia, La., have seized, and will offer for sale and will sell at public auction, for cash WITH appraisal, to the last and highest bidder, at the front door of the Court House, in the City of New Iberia, La., between legal sale hours starting at 10 a.m. on
WEDNESDAY, JULY 8, 2026
The following described property, to-wit:
Tract of land shown by reference to that certain plat of survey prepared by B. G. Currey, dated August 22,1974 and recorded attached to Act of Cash Sale at COB 619, Folio 3, Entry No. 74-4882, of the public records of Iberia Parish, Louisiana;
Being that certain lot of ground with all buildings and improvements and the component parts thereof, together with all rights, ways, privileges and servitudes thereunto appertaining, and all appurtenances thereof situated in Section 41, Township 12 South, Range 6 East, Iberia Parish, Louisiana, within the corporate limits of the City of New Iberia, fronting One Hundred Forty-One and 06/100 (141.6’) feet on the SE side of Iberia Street and having such shape, configuration, dimensions, boundaries and measurements as are more fully shown by reference to noted plat.
Which has the address of 1115 Iberia St, New Iberia, LA 70560
To pay and satisfy the sum of:
EIGHTY-FIVE THOUSAND, FIFTY-SIX DOLLARS AND 26/100 ($85,056.26), with interest thereon at the rate of 4.375% per annum from September 1, 2025, together with accrued late charges in the amount of $77.68 in accordance with the note and mortgage, reasonable attorney’s fees and all costs of these proceedings.
ALL SUCCESSFUL BIDDERS MUST HAVE CASH (CASH PAYMENT IN THE FORM OF A CASHIER’S CHECK), CASHIER’S CHECK OR A VERIFIABLE LETTER OF CREDIT IN FAVOR OF SAID BIDDER FROM A SOLVENT BANK, SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION OR OTHER SUCH FINANCIAL INSTITUTION AUTHORIZED TO DO BUSINESS IN THE STATE OF LOUISIANA AND FULL PAYMENT MUST BE MADE ON DATE OF SALE.
