Notice is hereby given that by virtue of SEIZURE AND SALE issued out of the above entitled and numbered cause, and to me directed Thomas S. Romero Sheriff, duly sworn and qualified in and for the Parish of Iberia, La., have seized, and will offer for sale and will sell at public auction, for cash WITHOUT appraisal, to the last and highest bidder, at the front door of the Court House, in the City of New Iberia, La., between legal sale hours starting at 10 a.m. on
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 19, 2026
The following described property, to-wit:
A certain lot of ground, together with all improvements thereon, situated within the corporate limits of the City of New Iberia, Iberia Parish, Louisiana, containing and measuring 50’ feet front on the West (Northwest) side of Lanza Lane by a depth between parallel lines of 100’ being bounded on the North (Northeast) by Lot 15, Block 358, South (Southwest) by Lot 17, Block 358, East (Southeast) by the said Lanza Lane and West (Northwest) by Lot 20, Block 358, BEING LOT 16 BLOCK 358 as shown and depicted on a plat of survey made by Thomas J. Jones, C.E. Dated May 1938, and filed on June 8,1938 as Miscellaneous Book 7, Folio 330 and under entry No. 2461, Iberia Parish, La. Said Property having a municipal address of 118 Lanza Lane, New Iberia, La. 70560.
Being the same property acquired by Cash Sale dated June 25, 2008 from Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation
recorded under Conveyance Book 1405 page 1 and under Entry No. 2008 0008137 of the records of Iberia Parish, La.
To pay and satisfy the sum of:
THIRTY-THREE THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED TWENTY-NINE DOLLARS AND 69/100 ($33,829.69) with interest at the rate of 12% per annum from May 1, 2026, until paid in full. Reasonable attorney’s fees and all costs of these proceedings.
ALL SUCCESSFUL BIDDERS MUST HAVE CASH (CASH PAYMENT IN THE FORM OF A CASHIER’S CHECK), CASHIER’S CHECK OR A VERIFIABLE LETTER OF CREDIT IN FAVOR OF SAID BIDDER FROM A SOLVENT BANK, SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION OR OTHER SUCH FINANCIAL INSTITUTION AUTHORIZED TO DO BUSINESS IN THE STATE OF LOUISIANA AND FULL PAYMENT MUST BE MADE ON DATE OF SALE.
