Notice is hereby given that by virtue of SEIZURE AND SALE issued out of the above entitled and numbered cause, and to me directed Thomas S. Romero Sheriff, duly sworn and qualified in and for the Parish of Iberia, La., have seized, and will offer for sale and will sell at public auction, for cash WITHOUT appraisal, to the last and highest bidder, at the front door of the Court House, in the City of New Iberia, La., between legal sale hours starting at 10 a.m. on
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 19, 2026
The following described property, to-wit:
That certain lot of ground, with all buildings and improvements, together with all rights, ways, privileges and servitudes thereunto appertaining, situated at Blufftown in the Fourth Ward (formerly Third Ward) of Iberia Parish, Louisiana, containing and measuring sixty (60) feet front on the Easterly side of the Little Zorah Baptist Church Road (formerly known as a 17 foot lane reserved by Leopold Levy) by a depth between parallel lines of one hundred eighty-one and two-tenths (181.2) feet, more or less; bounded Northerly by property of Sidney Moore, et al, or assigns, Southerly by property of McKinley Day, et ux, or assigns, Easterly by property entering Blufftown Subdivision and Westerly by said Little Zorah Baptist Church Road. Being the Northerly most sixty (60) feet of Tract I of property of McKinley Day (or assigns) as is more fully shown by reference to a plat of survey prepared by R.B. Marie, R.L.S., dated May 25,1962, and recorded in Miscellaneous Book 10, Folio 131, Entry No. 3660 of the records of Iberia Parish, Louisiana.

To pay and satisfy the sum of:
FORTY-SIX THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY-TWO AND 43/100 ($46,272.43) DOLLARS, with interest thereon at the rate of 4.88% per annum from and after January 7, 2025, until paid, together with twenty-five percent (25%) additional on the aggregate sum of principal and interest due as attorney’s fees, plus accrued pre-petition interest in the amount of $816.62, late charges and escrow deficiency totaling $105.00, together with all costs of these proceedings.
ALL SUCCESSFUL BIDDERS MUST HAVE CASH (CASH PAYMENT IN THE FORM OF A CASHIER’S CHECK), CASHIER’S CHECK OR A VERIFIABLE LETTER OF CREDIT IN FAVOR OF SAID BIDDER FROM A SOLVENT BANK, SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION OR OTHER SUCH FINANCIAL INSTITUTION AUTHORIZED TO DO BUSINESS IN THE STATE OF LOUISIANA AND FULL PAYMENT MUST BE MADE ON DATE OF SALE.
