NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO SELL IMMOVABLE PROPERTY AT PRIVATE SALE
Notice is hereby given that MARY BETH TATMAN-SLOANE, Administrator of the Estate of JOHN WALTER BERARD, JR., has petitioned to the court for authority to sell all right, title and interest of the estate of JOHN WALTER BERARD, JR. in the following described property, in accordance in accordance with the provisions of Article 3281 et seq. of the Louisiana Code of Civil Procedure and
LSA-R.S. 43:203(3), for the gross sum of $16,
000.00 in cash for all right, title and interest of the estate JOHN WALTER BERARD, JR., with the succession to pay its pro rata share of closing costs and ad valorem taxes against the hereinafter described immovable property and with the sale to contain an “As Is” clause, which immovable property in which the estate of JOHN WALTER BERARD, JR. owns to be sold at private sale, is described as follows:
1. 205 Pollard Ave, New Iberia, Louisiana 70563
That certain parcel of ground, together with all buildings and improvements, situated in the City of New Iberia, Iberia Parish, State of Louisiana, having a frontage of
75.00’ on Pollard Avenue, by a depth between parallel lines of
96.00’, more or less, being bounded, now or formerly, North by property of Clet Girard, Gates, et al or assigns, South by Pollard Avenue, East by Sidney Benson or assigns, and on the West by a 75’ lot belonging to the heirs of Elisa Delaloire Berard.
MUNICIPAL ADDRESS OF ABOVE DESCRIBED PROPERTY: 205 Pollard Avenue, New Iberia, Louisiana 70563
Being the same property acquired by John Walter Berard, Jr. via Judgment of Possession in the Succession of John Walter Berard, Sr., Probate Docket 16802, 16th JDC, Iberia Parish dated November 5, 1999 and recorded November 8, 1999 in Conveyance Book 1188, Folio 314, Entry No. 99-14102 of the public records Iberia Parish, Louisiana.
Notice is further given that net proceeds of the sale of the undivided interest of this
estate, in the property hereinabove described will be deposited into the succession account for
distribution in accordance of law.
Any heir or creditor of the succession who opposes the proposed sale must file his or her
opposition within seven (7) days from the date on which the last publication of this notice
appears.
