Notice is hereby given that by virtue of SEIZURE AND SALE issued out of the above entitled and numbered cause, and to me directed Thomas S. Romero Sheriff, duly sworn and qualified in and for the Parish of Iberia, La., have seized, and will offer for sale and will sell at public auction, for cash WITHOUT appraisal, to the last and highest bidder, at the Court House, in the City of New Iberia, La., between legal sale hours starting at 10 a.m. on
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2026
The following described property, to wit:
A certain lot of ground, together with all improvements, located in Section 22, T12S, R7E, Iberia Parish, Louisiana, measuring 77.76’ feet on the western side of Timberstone Drive, by a depth on the northern boundary of 116.77’ feet, and a depth on the southern boundary of 116.79’ feet, and having a rear or eastern boundary of 77.76’ feet; Being bounded on the North by Lot 4 of Block 1 of Timberstone Estates Subdivision, Phase III, on the South by Lot 6 of Block 1 of said subdivision, on the East by property of Timberstone Drive, and on the West in part by Lot 5 of Block 7 of Timberstone Estates Subdivision, Phase II and in part by property of Walter Voorhies and/or assigns; BEING LOT FIVE (5) OF BLOCK ONE (1) OF TIMBERSTONE ESTATES SUBDIVISION, PHASE III, as per plat prepared by L. J. Comeaux, Jr., R.L.S., dated July 23, 2008, and recorded under File Entry No. 2008- 9623, records of Iberia Parish, Louisiana and made a part hereof by reference thereto.
To pay and satisfy the sum of:
ONE HUNDRED FORTY-EIGHT THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED THIRTEEN DOLLARS AND 24/100 ($148,813.24) in principal, with
interest thereon at 3.50% annum from May 1, 2025 until paid in full, reasonable attorney’s fees. And all costs of these proceedings.
ALL SUCCESSFUL BIDDERS MUST HAVE CASH (CASH PAYMENT IN THE FORM OF A CASHIER’S CHECK), CASHIER’S CHECK OR A VERIFIABLE LETTER OF CREDIT IN FAVOR OF SAID BIDDER FROM A SOLVENT BANK, SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION OR OTHER SUCH FINANCIAL INSTITUTION AUTHORIZED TO DO BUSINESS IN THE STATE OF LOUISIANA AND FULL PAYMENT MUST BE MADE ON DATE OF SALE.
